Ch-Ch-Changes

It's a blustery day here in London, and I can't help but notice that the crisp air of autumn is blowing this way fast. I love autumn. I really do. In fact, you'd be hard pressed to find a day this past summer in which I wasn't wearing a jumper, a jacket or a scarf in the hopes of enticing Mr Jack Frost to come on by..

And though I certainly didn't plan it this way, in two weeks I will find myself waking up in a part of England - one of the most Southerly parts, strangely enough - that is known for its bitterly cold winters. Perfect! So along with all of the shopping my mother and I have been doing recently (last week we took a special trip just to find an apple slicer. My mother clearly thinks I'm incompetent) the fast approach of my favourite season brings with it a very good excuse to buy clothes.
Fall - Monki
Monki is a great Swedish brand. It's so great, in fact, that I'm loathe to share it with you. But with a concession store opened in Selfridges in London this past week, I fear I can't keep this gem a secret for long. I could wax lyrical about the way it combines a 'street style' ethic in a signature Scandinavian style with forgiving price tags; but this isn't a style blog and I ain't no fashionista. But the spirit of de-cluttering my old life (and room, and wardrobe!) to make way for a new, mature me, I feel it's fitting to explore the possibilities that kind hearted monetary donations and the chance to reinvent oneself could bring. I wish I were one of those girls who wakes up in the morning and throws together a beautiful outfit with tired eyes, but I'm not. Soon, with a little help, I could at least pretend to be!
